I fundamentally object to the linking of the provision of services, regardless of use to property valuations. Provision of any service should be strictly limited to the service provided, and to a common tariff applicable to all, save allowances for indigent relief and so on. The imposition of this so-called 'cleaning charge' - is also a major concern - it is not clear to me what this is about, but again - it is not linked at all to any use of a service on our property, and being linked to property value - it is nothing more than an additional tax, with no clear purpose. The city needs to think again - cut its cloth to the realities of the situation it is in financially, as everyone else has to do and manage its affairs accordingly. For my part, I am sure comments such as mine will be ignored - which in turn means come the time, I will not be voting for a DA administration again.
