Fundamentally flawed

The council's mandate is to provide services to the City of Cape Town, and to recover these costs from its residents.

It's mandate is not to raise new wealth taxes on its residents.

Linking consumption charges to property value, I believe, is illegal and should be challenged in court.

I also do not believe the City has done an economic impact as to the effect these increases will have on the local economy, by removing even more disposable income from its residents.
