Keep heavy trucks away from residential streets

Large and heavy vehicles should not be allowed in residential streets. Road classes should be more strictly enforced. Example: Albertyn road in Muizenberg. It is a class 5 local street, with narrow road reserve, yet trucks are intentionally routed through this street (road signs clearly give instruction for heavy trucks to use this street). In this case, pedestrians and school children are forced to walk within centimeters of large moving trucks - clearly a very unsafe practice and in direct contradiction with the safe system design that his new document emphasises.

Absolutely agree. Heavy duty vehicles create congestion, damage to roads and due to weight creates vibration to homes. This is experienced often in our area.
Would like the signs displayed indicating no trucks.

Agree, large and heavy vehicles should not be allowed in residential streets. Its a danger to children and animals who live in the area, and pedestrians who walk the streets to and from train stations, schools and shops.
