Some roads are not suitable for large and heavy vehicles.
Some roads should not have large and heavy vehicles using them.
Some of the key heavily trafficked roads should only have large and heavy vehicles after peak hour traffic and in residential areas limited to daylight hours only.

100% agree. One of the most obvious cases is Albertyn Road in Muizenberg. A class 5 residential street, but it has a constant flow of large and heavy trucks traveling through it. You have pedestrians and school children walking centimeters away from large moving trucks. The whole reason for a road class system is to avoid situations like these. This should never be allowed.

@Johan Wahl I was about to post the same thing - yesterday I was one of several cars that had to reverse from main road at Albertyn because a semi truck was trying to turn left, because there's absolutely no clearance for that size of vehicle
