The City can't just sell off land as if they are the owners of this land.We the citizens have the right to adequate housing which has a backlog of plus minus 650000 people on the waiting list.For a number of years,if not decades we the so called"coloured" people has been marginalized,looked over or just simply disregarded.We've been told there is no land available, empty promises and at the e d of the day the monies are been given ba k to national treasury.It is about time swift action should be taken to put the rightful citizens of this country before those with foreign interest.And serve the people that rightfully deserves it.It is our constitutional right,and the City's constitutional obligation to look into the need of its citizens.Enough is enough.Do what is supposed to do for the people who voted you in power to serve the people,a d not the other way around.Thanks

Surely we need that land to upgrade the police station! There is another piece of land opposite the police station which is zoned for education. Why can't we use that land for the school? I understand that the piece of land next to the police station is provincial and the piece of land opposite is national. Why can't these 2 entities discuss the swopping of the properties? Will the funds derived from the sale of our land be used to better our circumstances?
