I feel new Walking and Cycling Strategy is very much needed, for the reasons given - SO many people are reliant on walking or cycling to get to work or where ever they need to get to, therefore making it easier and safer is very much in their benefit. Besides this all being essential in the lower income areas where walking and cycling is their only form of getting to places, I have even noticed in my own area that kids can't even walk or cycle to the nearby school without walking in the road along busy roads, and these same roads are also the main arteries for huge numbers of domestics and gardeners and others trying to get to their work locations, so they HAVE TO walk in the road - totally unacceptable!
