Pet bylaw

I applaud efforts to curb harm to animals, but this stinks of yet another tax control imposed on residents and I see no way that this will help animals or allow lower income/retired households the ability to afford pets. More likely there will be more abandoned animals and mistreatment to hide them. Why does the municipality think they have the right to tax every little aspect of our lives. I thoroughly disagree with this bylaw and see no benefit to it being imposed on us. You are supposed to be working for the welfare of the community, not putting a price on our beloved pets. Everyone should have the right to have a pet companion. Shame of you!
