Replacement of Water meters

Residents have raised concerns about the water meter replacement project currently underway. The following questions have still not been answered: * Have these meters all been tested to determine accurate measurement? * Why are the meters being locked by the CoCT? This remains a concern where a resident needs to shut down the water supply without access to a tap or shut-off system. * Houses are mostly fitted with a City tap - meter- tap for use by owner all situated in one space. So if my neighbour has a pipe burst I can shut off the water supply. Will that still be the case? * What is the detailed cost per meter installation and is it worth the expense?
