Sell MyCiti cards at public libraries and other city owned properties
From "Resident Ideas (Jul '26- Sep '26)"
Go to the project
The new MyCiti cards no longer have expiry dates and they can be topped up online. Sales points no longer need the specialised top up machines.
Sales of cards should be expanded to all City of Cape Town cash accepting points including public libraries and traffic departments. Retailers should also be approached to sell the cards.

I'd be far happier if they could do away with needing a card, and just use tap-to-pay debit or credit cards, especially for ad-hoc trips.

@Danie van der Merwe I agree. Normal bank card payments is the first prize. But if they can't get that working soon, selling the bus cards at more locations would be a good interim solution
