I'm concerned this analysis has only been done on a desktop study. I urge the team to do an actual survey.
Kinkle Way and Kinkleway Avenue, Newlands do not need speedbumps. The road is a dead end and has 2 dead ends leading off it. All these streets are short with only residential traffic. There is no thoroughfare. No indication why 4 speedbumps are needed.
No map enclosed for Lee Road Claremont and no indication where or why a speedbump is needed.
Bonair Road Rondebosch is not a thoroughfare, it is a quiet residential road that has a dead end on one side, no direct access to Park Road going east and the list and map don't match in terms of number of speedbumps required. Map says 8 and list says 3. It is more reasonable to place 3 speedbumps here.
Cook Road Claremont - speedbumps have been requested several times for this road as people speed down here towards Keurboom. There are always pedestrians walking towards the park, and there is the WPCC field which Rondebosch High uses across Keurboom from Cook Road. It is a long road with a dangerous kink towards Keurboom. The residents have been begging for traffic calming for years. Please consider using those not needed elsewhere here rather. A resident from Cook Road was killed in December 2025 while crossing Keurboom Road from Cook.
There was no option to select partly support so I have had to opt for no.
I have only included looked at the Ward 58 area as I'm familiar with the area.
