Zero tolerance for reckless driving
From "Comment of the Draft Road Safety Strategy (RSS)"
Go to the project
I fully support the amended traffic bylaws and believe these measures are long overdue. Dangerous driving, disregard for traffic laws, excessive vehicle noise, and behaviour that puts other road users at risk have become so normalised that many barely question it anymore.
Many people say the City should focus on “real crime”, but when reckless and unlawful behaviour on our roads results in injury or death, that is real crime.
I welcome a zero-tolerance stance and hope these measures are consistently enforced on all road users, especially taxis, where traffic violations are almost always ignored.

Agree 100%. We have a very big and dangerous problem at the fourway stop at Berkshire and Deerhurst in Sunningdale.
While taking my children to school, they come speeding and going straight through the stop streets. We have almost had a fatal collision many times here. It is unacceptable.
