Call for Public Comments on the Review of the Relief and Charitable Allocations Policy

The City receives regular requests for relief and charitable assistance from members of the public and organisations. Some of these requests may be addressed through the City's Grants-in-Aid Policy, adopted in terms of section 67 of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA).

The Relief and Charitable Allocations Policy provide a framework for the lawful disbursement of relief and charitable allocations in accordance with section 12 of the MFMA and any applicable regulations.

Members of the public are invited to submit comments on the draft policy from 05 August to 25 August 2026, quoting "Comment on the Relief and Charitable Allocations Policy" as a reference.
