Imagine your ideal future, a city of hope, a city of possibilities. Picture a city where your ideas, your hopes, and your dreams are the blueprint. Imagine what this future Cape Town would look like on a postcard.

So imagine you’re receiving a Postcard from the Future- what does it say? Join our initiative by submitting your vision for our City. Picture yourself in 2050- write to a family member, a friend, a child, a councillor or even yourself? Share your vision for Cape Town in the year 2050. What are your dreams, aspirations, and ideas for a sustainable, inclusive, and prosperous city?

Postcards from the Future is an opportunity to bring your vision to life. Share your ideas, hopes, and dreams for Cape Town's future and your vision could become a reality or shape the future of our City. Remember, your vision is more than just an idea. It's the start of a journey, a journey that begins with you!

Submission of Postcards

• Submissions can be received through the Collaboration Platform.
• Submission will be open from 14 October 2023.
• Submissions should have all fields completed to be considered.
• Submissions close on 30 November. Thereafter no submissions will be able to be made via this platform.

How to submit your Postcard

• Step 1 - Register and Join the Collaboration Platform (remember: you only have to register once to engage with the City)
• Step 2 - Click on the Participate button
• Step 3 - Fill in your details - Name, Surname, Email, Organisation/School and Suburb
• Step 4 - Fill in the Idea Title for your Postcard
• Step 5 - Provide a Description of your Idea for your Postcard - what is your vision for our City?
• Step 6 - Optional: You can download the digital Postcard PDF and fill in the information and attach it to your submission.

Please note that you can only attach one file per submission and that the system will only accept one submission per User
