About the policy

The draft Manufacturing Support Policy, 2025 seeks to:

  • Replace the Investment Incentives Policy (2018).
  • Provide a relevant and updated policy that will help attract manufacturing firms into Cape Town, grow the local economy and create new job opportunities.
  • Provide the policy directives that will guide the implementation of the policy.
  • Provide manufacturing firms that wish to invest in Cape Town with a package of financial and non-financial support measures.
  • Contribute to making Cape Town a preferred investment destination for both local and international investors.

The Manufacturing Support Policy (2025) will replace the Investment Incentives Policy (2018) and come into effect once approved by Council.
