We plan to lease the property to Pardus Fine Art or its successors-in-title for a workshop to create art and sculptures, as well as for storage purposes.

  • Expected proceeds: that the City will receive a market-related rental of R79800.00 per month, excluding VAT and including rates, escalating at 7% per annum for a period of 10 years, the rental to be reviewed after five years, subject at any time to two months’ notice of termination. The rental is effective and payable as from 1 February 2026.
  • Expected gain or loss: no loss will be incurred by the City arising from the granting of right.
  • The proposed transaction includes a call for alternative proposals. The call for alternatives is not limited to a single bidder and should include the proposed rental, proposed use, etc:
  • The proposed use of the premises as a workshop to create art and sculptures, as well as for storage purposes
  • The use of the property will contribute to tourism development and support the creative industry in the area.
  • The proposed proposal aligns with the City’s strategic objectives to stimulate economic growth and a cultural enrichment.
