Comment on the proposed signalisation of the intersection at Philip Kgosana Drive and Crassula Avenue, Vredehoek
The City plans to signalise the intersection at Philip Kgosana Drive and Crassula Avenue in Vredehoek to improve traffic flow and road safety, and we want to hear from you.
Comment Period: Submit your comments and objections from 17 October – 17 November 2025.
Phases
Public Participation
- Signalise the Philip Kgosana Drive and Crassula Avenue intersection.
- Swop turning movements into and out of Crassula Avenue to remove the conflict point and provide an eastbound acceleration lane.
- Allow vehicles entering and exiting Crassula Avenue to cross Philip Kgosana Drive easily and safely.
- Create space for the queues in the median to wait at the signal.
- Ease of access onto Philip Kgosana Drive for right turning vehicles from Crassula Avenue.
In terms of Section 17 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, you can submit comments to the municipality in respect of the proposed signalisation.
