Naruna Crescent subway – Southfield
Piers Road subway – Wynberg
Tiverton Road subway – Wynberg
York Road subway – Wynberg

Reasons for proposing the temporary closures:

illegal use of the subways
vandalism of infrastructure/pumps, electrical supply, lighting
improved pedestrian safety
illegal occupants
unsafe conditions - robberies
nearby alternative routes

In terms of Section 17 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, you can submit comments to the municipality in respect of the proposal.
