About
We plan to convert the existing, unsignalised intersection at the entrance to the Oliver Tambo Community Hall on Japhta K Masemola Road into a double lane traffic circle.
Phase 2A MyCiTi infrastructure will allow for improved public transport services linking Khayelitsha and Mitchells Plain with Wynberg and Claremont via Govan Mbeki Road.
The proposed traffic circle will improve safety and access, reduce traffic speed, and enable U-turns required to optimise MyCiTi services to Claremont and Wynberg.
In terms of Section 17 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, you can submit comments to the municipality in respect of the proposal.
Objections will be considered before a final decision is reached.
