- private transport
The proposed upgrades include:
- A dual carriageway - Belgravia Road to Newfields Road
- New and improved walking and cycling facilities - Jan Smuts Drive to Orion Road
- New public transport embayment
- Improved crossing points for pedestrians and cyclists
- Turfhall Road/Surran Road - new intersection
- Turfhall road/David Road intersection - conversion to a left-in/left-out system with a median barrier
This project forms part of the City’s Comprehensive Integrated Transport Plan, Congestion Relief Programme, and Integrated Public Transport Network’s base network.
