Reasons for the proposed permanent closure:
- The Wynberg community experience daily loss in respect of the ongoing cable theft, home burglaries, theft out of motor vehicles and robberies of personal belongings while on foot.
- Criminals are seen using the walkway as a convenient escape route
In terms of Section 17 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, you can submit comments to the municipality in respect of the proposal.
