The proposal includes:

• Permanently converting the portion of Strandfontein Road (service road), between the Makro access and New Ottery Road into a one-way roadway (in the northbound direction) as shown in Map 1.
• Due to the proposal, entry from New Ottery Road will be prohibited and traffic will have to re-route by two alternate routes as shown in Map 2.

In terms of section 17 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, the public and interested parties or groups are given the opportunity to submit comments, recommendations or input on the proposal to the municipality from 3 August to 4 September 2026.
