Assess the feasibility of converting Belper Road into a one-way traffic system

From "Resident Ideas (Jul '26- Sep '26)"

Please assess the feasibility of converting Belper Road in Wynberg East to a One-Way There are a number of factors that should be taken into consideration: * Recent school developments nearby have significantly increased overall traffic volume, leading to elevated safety risks during drop-off and pick-up hours. * Drivers routinely fail to yield at narrow choke points, leading to frequent standoffs, traffic congestion, and heightened risk of sideswipe collisions. * Multiple hidden driveways along the stretch present a critical safety hazard especially with higher vehicle counts. Unidirectional traffic (preferably eastbound towards Kildare Road) could significantly improve sightlines and reaction time for residents entering or exiting their properties. * While speed bumps are present, they are insufficient on their own to manage increased traffic flow and prevent driver frustration. Implementing a one-way system provides a definitive structural fix to eliminate head-on traffic conflicts entirely. * The street is increasingly being used as a cut-through route by commuters attempting to bypass main-road congestion, flooding the narrow residential corridor with high-volume, non-local traffic.
